Women have always wanted to look stylish. Its quite true that since the last so many years, there has been a huge revolution in the hairstyles adopted by them. The hairstyle adopted by any woman should be in accordance with the time she can take out for the maintenance of her hair. Short hair requires lower maintenance whereas longer hair requires one to spend much more time washing and combing it. In addition, one should be happy with the kind of hairstyle adopted.

Now, the tresses have gone out of vogue. No one has knee length hair these days. Although women still desire this hair do, they don’t have much time for maintaining it. This has made them adopt short hairstyles. Women who have adopted such short hairstyles are Cameron Diaz and Meg Ryan. They are casual hairstyles, which also look glamorous. The styling is so simple in such hairstyles and they don’t involve much brushing and washing. Apart from such short-layered cuts, even bob cuts are quite in these days like Rihanna has a soothing bob cut. It even requires lesser maintenance than the layered cuts.

Women liked tresses because they were so much preferred by men. Such tresses can be groomed perfectly with the right kind of gloss. Its not advisable to visit the beauty parlor every time for a low maintenance job. It’s better that you find out about the right kind of hair styling products from the market before using them. Get a product which is suited as per the quality of your hair. Also, its easy to wear the hair open all the time when its cut in layers. This way, you wont face tresses covering your face unnecessarily. Such hairstyle will make you look more confident than anyone else.

The hairstyle should also match with the shape of your face. If the shape of your face like your cheek bones don’t complement a hairstyle, don’t have it. Any hairstyle can only accentuate the face, the eyes and the complexion when it suits it. You cant modify your hair too much in a hairstyle. Its like altering your entire personality. So, you cant have a straight hair look all the time when you have curly hair. Making such a change would require you to make frequent visits to the beauty parlor which can also ruin your hair in the long run. Your hairdresser is the best person who can advise you about the right kind of hair style for your face. Also, its necessary to have glamorous hair cuts because they can add some sassiness to your wavy and straight hair.

Hairstyles are one significant factor for a person’s beauty. Be it a man or woman, the look of one’s hair makes a phenomenal difference in their beauty. So it is essential in understanding the importance of having a good hairstyle. At the same time, it is also important to understand the necessity of having hairstyles that suit each individual. Since the shape of the face is one supporting factor for the hair style, it would be better to make a choice of the hair with respect to the size and shape of the face. People with fat and chubby faces are always concerned to have better looks and here are some good tips.

Bob hairstyles are a good option for chubby faces. A fat face does not mean that someone is oversized, as any face which lacks visibility of the facial bones is considered to be a chubby face. A bob hair style forms a frame around the face and extends beyond the neck, so that the face looks complete. This hair style then can be shaped into layers as well for a better look. Bob hairstyles can better suit a fat face and would definitely give a slimmer look to the face. It is sometimes good to have long hairstyles than to have short hairstyles for fat faces. Long hair styles make the face look lengthier instead of making it look wider. Choosing a hair cut that falls over the cheek and bordering close to the chin also helps the face to look longer. Going for a straight hairstyle is highly recommended as opposed to acquiring a wavy style of hair.

While long hair styles for women will be the best choice, there are definitely some recommended hair styles that would help fat faces look good. Smoothly layered bob haircuts, short shags, stylish up-dos, short pixie haircuts, layered hairstyles, long curls, layered bangs, honey and caramel blonde hairstyles, trendy teen and shaggy long hair are the ten best hairstyle suggestions for fat faces. For men that are a little concerned about their appearance, the hair plays a factor in giving great looks. If they can manage the look, some men opt for longer hair to help slim their face. However, not everybody can carry long hairstyles well. Browsing the net and getting a virtual makeover is a great idea, as you can get a consultation of hair style this way without leaving your home. It easy to find hairstyles for fat faces, you just have to look around and try different looks on your face.

Finding the right hair salon is not easy. With one on nearly every corner, finding the hair salon that is right for you can be confusing. The best way is through word of mouth. But that does not mean just asking people to recommend a hair salon. A salon that did a great job with somebody’s long flowing locks may not be good at handling your short crop. Ask people who have will styles hair in styles similar to yours where they go.

Once you have a few places short listed, visit each hair salon for a consultation. This will allow you to get a feel of the place, see the kind of styling they are doing and most importantly, talk to the stylists. Tell them what you are looking for and see the kind of feedback you receive. If there is a communication gap between what you are say and what they are offering, move along to the next hair salon on our list.

Ask to see the salon’s portfolio. Most will have photographic records of the work that represent the kind of styling work they do. If you find their work is the kind you are looking for, you should be okay. Before you decide to go ahead with a particular hair salon, one more thing you need to note is the level of cleanliness and hygiene they maintain. Keep an eye open for the tell tale signs of a lack of hygiene like dirty towels, greasy scissors and combs, cut hair on the floor after a client leaves, etc.

Most of the time, it’s just your hair going through its normal stage of shedding. On the average, you lose 50 to 100 strands of hair each day. Shed hair is replaced by new hair, and the hair growth cycle starts over. However, if you notice your hair thinning or falling out excessively , you may need to seek professional help to avert baldness, or alopecia. Alopecia can affect anyone. And- it’s not always determined by “the mothers genetics”. Truth is, there are several causes of alopecia. Let us take a look at a few reasons why people lose hair.

The most common cause of baldness in both men and women is androgenetic alopecia or pattern baldness. This is caused by increased levels of androgens or male hormones. It may be hereditary. You may notice an M-shaped thinning of hair in your temples and crown if you are a male, or thinning in the central and frontal scalp if you are a female. On the other hand, a bald spot on your scalp may be due to alopecia areata. In this condition, your immune system produces antibodies that normally fight off harmful microorganisms, but instead damage your hair follicles, leading to hair loss that appears as smooth round patches.

If you underwent surgery or had a severe illness during the last 3 months, you may also notice hair loss that is more than what you’re used to. As a natural reaction of your body to a stressful life situation, about 50% of your hair enters the resting phase of hair growth. Because shed hair is not immediately replaced, thinning of your hair becomes apparent. This temporary hair loss is called telogen effluvium. Your hair will grow back once the underlying illness resolves. Hormones also play a role in hair loss that is associated with thyroid diseases and pregnancy. An excess or a decrease in your thyroid hormones may lead to alopecia. After giving birth, the abrupt decrease in the level of the female hormone estrogen causes temporary yet massive hair shedding. Other medical conditions that may lead to hair loss include fungal infections, diabetes, lupus and intake of certain medications.

The constant pulling of your hair when you wear pigtails, cornrows or a tight ponytail damages your hair follicles, leading to traction alopecia. Improper and frequent use of hair treatments may also weaken your hair and cause breakage. Some people are unable to control the impulse to pull out their hair. In these cases of trichotillomania, psychological intervention is also necessary. It will guide your dermatologist or hair specialist in deciding which hair loss option is appropriate for you. You may have to receive oral and topical medications, or undergo procedures such as laser hair therapy, hair transplantation, or hair replacement.

Hair loss in men is a common occurrence. Sure, it happens more so in some men than others, but every man loses hair. The most common cause of hair loss in men is genetics.Hair loss in men is far more common than it is in women. Along with hair loss being hereditary, other common causes are mental and physical stress as well as age. Yes, stress does cause your hair to fall out. Even simple everyday stress can do this but it is much more prevalent in men who have high stress occupations.

Hair loss for men usually starts to occur with the thinning of the hair. When this starts to happen, you will usually notice that your hair is falling out piece by piece or in clumps. Early hair loss in men is also accompanied by a receding hair line. As the hairline continues to recede, a man has a few options. He can begin to cut his hair shorter to cover up the recession, find a hair loss cure, or simply deal with it. To some, it is a big deal to loose their hair, but on the other hand, some men don’t worry about it at all.

Hair loss in men has never been more treatable than it is today. There are many solutions including Rogaine, which is the most popular cure available. Rogaine works in the majority of the men who use it. Hair loss in men can also be combated by topical solutions, or natural remedies, such as vitamins. Another popular remedy for hair loss in men is hair transplantation surgery. This plan of action has become more popular in the last three years due to more professionals practicing this technique and better results from the surgery. This surgery consists of your doctor grafting areas of your scalp that are in good condition to areas that are thinning or balding. More and more men with hair loss are looking in this direction for a cure.

There are many reasons for hair loss and wigs can be a great solution to permanent or temporary hair problems. For people that have lost their hair due to health issues and cancer treatment, the lack of confidence caused by the hair loss could affect their overall disposition and recovery time. Throughout history there have been many accounts where wigs have been worn. The ancient Egyptians wore them on in order to be protected from the heat of the sun. Wigs were also popular among other ancient European civilizations such as the ancient Romans and Greeks. Eastern civilizations also used wigs in theatre and cultural performances.

After the Roman Empire fell, the use of wigs was restricted for about a thousand years, until the 16th century. Wigs were worn again because of the hair loss that was common then or in order to boost a person’s appearance. They also solved a hygienic problem caused by head lice, which were highly attracted to natural hair. Shaving the head and wearing a wig more hygienic in olden times.

The 17th century was the time where wigs were introduced as a symbol of social status. Royal patronage played an important role in the revival of wig-wearing. In England, Queen Elisabeth I often wore a curly, red wig, and in France, kings Louis XIII and Louis XIV were responsible for introducing wigs as a part of men’s fashion as early as the 1620s and onwards.

When King Charles II was exiled from France, and then restored to the throne in England in 1660, he introduced long wigs that were to be worn by men. Long hair was in fashion among men since the 1620s. Any man that lacked the long hair could purchase long wigs in order to be part of the trend and styles that were current at the time.

Long wigs also started to be worn as a part of professional costumes. The clerics of the church in England and Ireland wore long wigs at ceremonies. This was also adopted in legal systems, where judges and officials were obligated to wear them. This tradition is still kept in some legal systems around the world today. On the other hand, in France and the United States, long wigs haven’t been worn as a symbol of social status since the early 19th century. Today they are worn for convenience by a lot of people since it is a lot easier to put on an already styled wig when there is not enough time to style your own hair.

The hair of the humans has gained remarkable attention throughout the ages. It has close linkage with the fashion statement of a human being. Styling up the hair in various fashions has been the main concern of every fashion conscious people since the very beginning of civilization. Also did different civilizations and cultures shown different traits of styling the hair. Here in this article we shall discuss about this very matter and shall discuss about the various fashion trends of various civilizations from the past.

Talking about hair styling and ancient civilizations the first name that always comes in mind is obviously the Egypt. The Egyptians were well known for their attention to beauty and cleanliness. Therefore it is obvious that they should also have their style of making up their hair. Decorating the hair was quite a common custom among the Egyptians. They used combs and hairpins since about the 4th century B.C. Egyptians had a craze for having thick hair and it was considered as a great styling therefore for that reason they often used hair extensions and wigs made of real hair and sheep’s wool.

Besides the Egyptian people from the ancient Greece had also their own fashion of styling their hair. The hair of the women were often long and pulled back into a chignon. Many of them died their hair with henna and sprinkled gold powder on them. They were often seen to be having decorations of flower on their head. Hairdressing was much popular to the Grecians and the upper class people were often attended by slaves of they visit public barber shops for dressing their hair. Men had their hair curled tight and piled high on the head often shaped around wire frames.

Hairdressing was also popular in Rome. People from the upper class society had their hair dressed up attended by slaves or even attended public shops for doing so. They used false hairpieces to make the hair look thicker and longer. Roman women wore their hair up, in carefully arranged styles, held up with jeweled hairpins. Sometimes they also wore it down, curled in ringlets.

In Israel and other parts of the Middle East, women often kept their hair covered by fabric draped about the face like a hood. Hairstyles in the Middle East and elsewhere, in fact held deeper significance. Some cultures considered women’s long hair to be provocative that it had to be covered up or controlled in tight braids, rolls or curls.

Your hair is your crowning glory and most people want it to look lustrous and natural so it’s a wonder so many of us over process our hair with hair color and other treatments. This processing can damage your hair and leave it dried out and dull. Of course, there is a plethora of products on the market that will claim to restore the natural beauty of your hair, but doesn’t it makes sense to use natural remedies instead of shampoos and conditioners that are loaded with chemicals? Here’s some natural ingredients you might want to try on your hair. Not only will they make your hair look great but these will cost you a lot less than those expensive salon products.

Oil: Plain old everyday cooking oil will work just as good as any hot oil treatment and is a great way to rehydrate your hair. Take a couple of tablespoons of oil and work it through your hair paying special attention to the ends. If your hair is dry on the ends but greasy on top, skip the top and just massage it into the ends. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then rinse out thoroughly. Your hair might feel a little greasy after this and you might want to experiment with the amount of oil until you get it just right.

Eggs: Eggs are good food and they are good for your hair too! In fact, eggs are one of the best natural hair conditioners around so don’t be afraid to use it on your hair. You can make an egg mixture for your hair by beating one egg and 1/2 cup water. Massage it into your hair and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then simply rinse it out and style your hair.

Mayonnaise: Mayonnaise can act as a deep conditioner and is especially good on dry and over processed hair. Look for real mayonnaise (not salad dressing) in the store. You want to use it on your hair while it is dry and slather it on, massaging it into every hair follicle right down to the ends. Then wrap your head in plastic wrap (yes, the kind you use for wrapping up food) and let sit for 25 minutes then rinse and style. Yes, it can be kind of messy but will really add shine to your hair!

Maple Syrup : This is another great, but messy natural hair conditioner. Use 100% pure maple syrup and massage it into your hair. Let sit for 10 minutes then rinse thoroughly and style your hair as normal. But what good is shiny silky hair if it is dotted with flaky dandruff? If you suffer from these annoying flakes you might want to try some of these natural remedies to treat your scalp.

The key is to know how to wash your hair no matter what day you wash it on.

When you wash your hair the first thing you should do is completely saturate the scalp with warm or cool water. The water should never be scalding hot. It is recommended that you wash your hair in cold water but some people find this hard to do. Place a small amount of shampoo in your hands and before applying it to your hair you should rub it between your hands to create a small lather. Once you have lathered the shampoo you can rub it gently into your hair and scalp.

If you hair is straight then it is good idea to wash your hair every day, as straight hair is more likely to become greasy and oily faster. Washing it every day will help to create a healthy sleek look. Morover, shampoos are a one stop solution to all your hair problems, ranging from hair lice to dandruff. But it is imperative that you pickup a shampoo that suits your hair, experimenting with new brands and products is a good idea just so that you know which other products can be used. In the end it all boils down to actually buying a shampoo that really works for you.
